Spud is a super nice gray gelding that I’ve had since he was a yearling. He is athletic and will watch a cow just like his dad, Spooks Silver Bar. Spud is right at home with all aspects of ranch work and has been packed and ridden into the Beartooth Mountains as well. Both of my young boys ride Spud with me and they just love him. He drags calves at branding, loads chutes and semis, works great in the feedlot, and I’ve roped calves outside on him too. I’ve started roping steers in the arena this summer and he is going great. This is an absolutely solid horse that is a great mount for anyone.
